RAKI (KAZANEMA) Parties in Villea Village Hotel

The "Kazanema" season. This is the traditional raki brewing (moonshine) festivities taking place in very basic legalised distilleries with plenty of traditional Cretan hospitality, music and fun.

The end of the famous "Kazenema week". that culminates in the festival of St George the Drunkard on the 2nd November. Villea Village Kazanema, and yes we brew our own raki, is on the 1st November.

ATENTION 1. You also can find in maps etc. different spellings of our town like;

Makrigialos, Markygialos, Macrialos, Makri Gialos, Makrys Gialos, Makriyialos, Makriyalos, Makri Yalos etc.

But the correct way is into two words, (Μακρύ-Γιαλός in Greek) "Makry-Gialos".

Make sure that is in Makry-Gialos, Crete.
Because also with the same name called as well many more places in mainland Greece and other Greek Islands.They are few Internet booking sites with this mistake as well.
